ELDER BROTHER: The key is in the word 'spiritual' – and the mindset behind it. As We have discussed before: If One is using that adjective, then it must be modifying something other than Spirit, as no-one would say: 'spiritual Spirit', would They?
No matter how often I emphasize this: that right Now You are Spirit, right Here is the Kingdom, and that this can be accessed – experienced – at any time – ... the identification with the mind – the little 'm' mind – the one that is 'living' in the body – is so total, so great, that there is virtually no room for Truth to enter. In Science and Health Mrs. Eddy commented on this when saying that a mind filled with error has no room for Truth.
As I often point out to You, correct the Bible, correct Science and Health, correct the Course, from the future to the Present. Get rid of all those 'wills' and "shalls'. They keep You in the dream.
God will not lift You up sometime in the future. You are lifted right now. Putting it all in the future, is not having it happen Now. That's for sure.
None of the 'spiritual' leaders have quite gotten that. I did. As I have said, the only point of the crucifixion was the Resurrection.
When You make commitment not to die, it is imperative to move into the Now and stay Here! As We spoke of recently, that is the antidote for 'aging': giving up the past and the future.
The other thing that binds those who choose to dream to 'death' is the addiction to this bizarre experience. To 'die' is the only way to repeat the dream again .. and again ... and again ... and again, ad nauseum.
So the willingness to give up dreaming -- and the self-will that bases it -- is the prerequisite to giving up dying.
Suffice it to say that each One who chooses to 'die' -- and choice it is --has an addictive attachment to some facet of the Dream.
This is a crucial subject.
QUESTIONER: Thank You.
ELDER BROTHER: My pleasure. Thank You for bringing it up. It is My favorite topic. You might even call it My theme song. (grinning)
